On this occasion, it won the “Best Destination Abroad” award, in the framework of the 23rd “Recognition for Quality” gala organized by the Conventions Latin America Magazine. The Dominican Republic won the recognition as a result of a nationwide survey in which meeting planners, organizers of congresses and conventions of companies, specialized tourism providers, associations and chambers of commerce participated. “The parameters of the election were ease of operation, standards of cleanliness and safety, diversity of the hotel offer, support structure in operations, friendliness of staff, valuation of infrastructure airports and roads,” said in a statement Carolina Pérez, Dominican Republic Tourism Promotion Office director in Mexico.
